Teacher guidelines
How to create, share, assign and review quizzes.
Nothing matches that search.
Classes and assignments
How do I assign a quiz?
Publish it, open it from the library, press Assign to students, choose students from your roster, set when it opens and closes, and confirm.
Can I assign to anyone?
Only students in your roster or classes.
What do students see?
The quiz in their Home with its opening and closing time. Scores and answers show when you release them.
Can a student get another attempt?
Yes. Give a fresh attempt with a reason, at most twice per assignment. The earlier attempt is kept and the student is notified.
Results
Who can see a student's result?
The creator of the quiz, the student, and administrators for support. Other teachers cannot.
Can I export results?
Yes. In Results, use the table to choose columns, filter, and export as CSV, Excel, copy or print.
What happens to results if I delete a quiz?
They are kept. Students and others see that the quiz was removed by you and when.
Live games
How do I host a live game?
Choose Host live from the + menu, pick a quiz, share the PIN, and start. Correct answers are sent only after each reveal.
Quizzes
How do I make a quiz?
Open Library, press + New quiz, paste or upload your questions, check the name, pick Practice or Exam, and press Create quiz.
How should my questions look?
Start each question with Q1., Q2. (or Q:). Options A to D (A. or A) or (A) all work). Add an Answer: line with the letter. Explanation: is optional. Leave a blank line between questions.
What if one question is wrong?
It is flagged with the reason, for example Question 7: no correct answer found. The other questions still work. Fix it in the text, or create the quiz with the ones that are ready.
What is the difference between Practice and Exam?
Practice shows feedback after each answer and allows retries. Exam is timed with one attempt and you release the results. Both can be changed under Advanced settings.
Visibility
What do Private, Link-only and Public mean?
Private: only you. Link-only: anyone with the link. Public: listed in the Public Library for everyone.
What is the difference between My Library and the Public Library?
My Library holds quizzes you made and public quizzes you saved. The Public Library lists every public quiz that has an open link.
What does Hide do?
It removes a quiz from your own list only. Nobody else is affected and you can show it again under Hidden.
What does Save do?
It adds someone else's public quiz to My Library. If its creator makes it private, it leaves your library.
Categories, collections and credit
Who can publish to the Public Library?
Any signed-in student or teacher, for a quiz they created. The first time, you confirm you may share it. Terms and Privacy must be accepted.
How is the subject category chosen?
It is suggested from the title, subject, description and questions (title counts most) from the editable list in src/category-keywords.json. You see it before publishing and can change it. An administrator can change any quiz. No match means General.
What is a collection?
Your own folder of quizzes you created or saved, private or public. A quiz can be in many collections and always has one category. Public collections show on your creator page and in search, with only the public quizzes in them.
What is a creator mark?
An optional Made by chip on a public quiz: display name and Instagram handle, optionally YouTube and one website. Links must be https on the allowed list and open in a new tab. An administrator can remove a mark that breaks the rules.
How do notifications work?
The bell lists announcements, quizzes assigned to you and new public quizzes in subjects you follow. Push sends the same to your device, only if you allow it (a small card appears a couple of minutes after sign-in). At most 3 push messages a day; announcements are not counted. Profile > Notifications turns each kind off.
Deleting
Who can delete a quiz?
The person who created it, and administrators. A saved quiz can be removed from your library, not deleted.
Can I undo a delete?
Yes. An Undo button shows for 10 seconds, and under Library > Recently deleted you can restore it for 30 days.
What happens to results if a quiz is deleted?
Results stay. Anyone who saved the quiz, was assigned it or opens its link sees: This quiz was removed by the creator (or an admin) on the date.
Moderation
Can I archive a quiz?
No. Archiving is for administrators. You can hide a quiz from your own list, make it private, or delete it.
How do I report a public quiz?
Use the report option on the public quiz page. An administrator reviews it.
